For
decades, Morton Plant Mease Health Care has been caring for the
residents of Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Morton Plant Mease (MPM) is
the area’s largest provider of hospital-based inpatient and outpatient
services, with full service hospitals in Clearwater, Dunedin and soon,
right here in Trinity!
Medical services including primary care, prenatal care, and emergency
care are provided at more than 50 locations throughout the area and
serve over one million people throughout the two counties. With over
1,200 physicians in 50 specialties on staff, MPM is recognized as a
leading source of information and treatment in cardiovascular medicine,
behavioral health, neuro-sciences, surgery services, cancer treatment,
women’s and children’s health, rehabilitation and orthopedics.
The Morton Plant Mease Health Campus started with the Trinity Outpatient
Center, a 50,000 square foot facility housing a comprehensive imaging
center, two large surgery suites for outpatient procedures, the Joslin
Center for Diabetes, a lab draw station, diagnostic cardiology,
outpatient behavioral services and numerous physician’s offices.
Many consider Morton Plant Mease the best health care provider in West
Central Florida, and Trinity residents love having them as neighbors.
Trinity
Medical Centre
The County's first new hospital in two decades
Community Hospital on Marine Parkway will be renamed
Trinity Medical Centre when it is relocated 5 miles from the current
location to the 52 acres of land at State Road 54 and Little Road,
behind the Mitchell Ranch Plaza. The five-story, $195-million
facility will employ 1300 and cover 500,000 square feet. The campus
will have an additional 85,000 square feet of medical office space
and state of the art medical equipment. Along with it comes the
ambition of parent HCA West Florida to consolidate a market base
from Pinellas County to Hillsborough and Pasco.
The new facility will house 236 private patient
rooms, 10 observation rooms attached to the emergency room and 28
day-surgery beds. All patient services will be on the first floor
and patient rooms will be on the remaining floors. Patient and
visitors will also have separate elevators providing the patients
with more privacy. A 1,600-car parking lot will include shuttle
service.
